The Middle East and Lent don’t often get spoken of together, but there are Middle Eastern Catholics who traditionally gave up meat for lent. These colorful and delicious Lenten recipes will make you feel guilty for not missing the meat! Menu Tabbouleh – Parsley & Cracked Wheat Salad Babaganoosh – Eggplant Pate Mujudrah (a lentil and rice pilaf with caramelized onions) Pickled Turnips – which are delightful!
